The Roman Oasis, Manilva
The Roman Oasis Restaurant is set in the Manilva countryside just three kilometres from the Costa del Sol and was named after the nearby Roman Baths. In his tropical atmosphere you can dine under a canopy of stars where flaming torches, twinkling lights and romantic background music all combine to create a special atmosphere in this enchanted place. We absolutely recommend a visit to this resturant as the atmosphere is wonderful. Go very hungry, only open during summer.
The Birdcage - Resturant with drag show
New resturant where you are served a four course meal by drag queens. An entertaining drag show is given between courses. Opened mid 2007. Good poiints: The food is certainly excellent and served in the neuvo cuisine style (do not expect large portions). They are very welcoming and you will have fun. Bad points: The house wine is almost undrinkable and at 18 Euros a bottle for something decent to help pay for the entertainment, however,I doubt if even Lidl would stock this. There are few staff and you are left waiting ages for drinks. Our bill was 65 Euros a head for 12 people sharing 6 bottles of wine and lots of soft drinks. Bring a fan as it is swelteringly hot inside - probably a ploy to make you drink more. There is nothing hi camp about the interior decoration or the incedental music. Wait until the year 2008 and they will probably get it right.
Peggotty's Finest Fish and Chips on the Costa del Sol
At Peggottys we use only the finest quality fish, caught from selected oceans, which gives our cod and haddock the Peggottys unique flavour! Whether you eat in or take away, we know you'll enjoy a Peggottys! Note from Time in Spain - They really are excellent. You will not leave hungry !
Punta Sur Argentinian restaurant, Estepona
There are two Punta Sur resturnats in Estepona. In my opinion the better one is of the sea front down some steps to the right of the Carrefour supermarket. This one is only open suring the summer months, otherwise the one in the town is also good. A little pricy, but the food is excellent. The steak is well worth trying or even the beef carpacio.
