One day trips to Tangiers
The Tangier Experience - A day with guided a tour including return transfers by coach to and from all coastal destinations - Adults - 83 Euros \ Children 65 Euros
You will be collected early morning by coach from many pick-up points along the Costa del Sol from Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Puerto Banus, San Pedro, Estepona, Duquessa and Gibraltar and take you across the sea on the 35/40 minute Tarifa to Tangiers fast ferry. Once you have arrived in Tangiers, you will be taken by private coach for a tour of the Caves of Hercules. After this you will have a typical Moroccan lunch (which includes live music and belly dancing). After lunch you’ll head to Tangiers main town centre and you will be given a guided tour through the labyrinth of narrow streets that make up the Kasbah (fortress), the Medina which is the old part of the town and also the Souk which is where all the shops and markets are. You will later be taken to meet an herbalist who will give you a brief demonstration of what herbal remedies are used in Morocco. You will then have some time for shopping before returning to the boat for the trip back to Tarifa and then back on the coach to be returned to your pick-up point on the Costa del Sol. Normally, on average, you are collected at around 7 am in the morning and you will be back normally by 9pm in the evening depending on where you are. (We will give you the exact times upon enquiry). Altogether a pleasurable and interesting day trip without the need to take a car.
This excursion is currently running on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only. If you wish to book this then you MUST provide us with the full name (as shown in passports), the passport number, passport expiry date and nationality of each person going. This is so that a visa can be prearranged for you to allow your entry. To book the seats you can pay by credit card over the phone or by bank transfer. Alternatively, a 15% payment by credit card/bank transfer and the balance can then be paid in Euros cash to the coach driver when you are collected.
The guided day tour of Tangiers (you drive to Tarifa yourself) - Adults 65 Euros \ Children 49 Euros
You need to drive to Tarifa port (directions provided) and from there you will leave the car and take the fast ferry by foot from Tarifa to Tangiers in just 35/40 minutes. You will be met by a guide and taken by coach with the group for a tour of the labyrinth of streets which make up the Souk (shopping and market area), the Kasbah (fortress) and also the old Medina area. The price includes a traditional Moroccan lunch in a restaurant where there will be live music and belly dancing. You will also be given a short talk by an herbalist on how herbs are used for their medical qualities. You may experience several other things along the way such as a snake charmer, a ride on a camel and maybe an explanation of the quality of the various fine rugs that are manufactured. You will also be given a tour of the modern Tangiers before having some time for shopping before returning on the fast ferry back to Tarifa. This offers excellent value for money and a good day out.
A typical day might be setting off from Estepona at 9am for a 1.5 hour drive to Tarifa and taking the 11am ferry crossing to Tangiers. Morocco is two hours behind Spain so you will arrive at 10:35am. After the days tour you will take the 5 pm crossing back to Tarifa and be back in Estepona by 8pm in the evening. Crossings with tour leave daily at 9am, 11 am and 1 pm with return times of 3 pm, 7 pm and 9 pm.
Private VIP guided tours of Tangiers
If you would prefer to have a private guided tour instead of joining the coach group then please add an extra 15 Euros per person (minimum 3 persons)..
The two day tour in Tangiers - Adults 96 Euros* Children 72 Euros* (Single suplement 15 Euros extra)
This is the Tangier day tour as described above but with an overnight stay in a hotel. For this trip you enjoy the Tangier day tour as normal but then you stay in a 3*** hotel for evening diner and also breakfast the next morning. This would give you time to explore Tangiers in the evening and to spend a free day in Tangiers before catching the 7pm ferry's back to Tarifa. You are welcome to catch any of the earlier ferries back to tarrifa, however, you will need to arrange the tranfer yourself. If you opt to stay in the Continental Hotel then this is just a short walk away from the ferry terminal.
*Please note that there is a 20 Euros supplement for adults and 15 Euros supplement for children for trips in July and August
